Step Up -- Step Down

I learned this sewing from a poet who hand printed his own poems, machine copied them and bound them together with this stitch. He could keep all the materials for this binding in his pocket and sewed the books together as he walked. His covers were only paper but we will add mat board to give our covers a little more firmness and cover the edges and spine with bookcloth. This book is about 4" x 7".
