A Book Sewn on Cords

Sewing a book on cords usually involves the use of a sewing frame. But it is possible to sew on cords without the frame if the book is small and has few cords. This open spine binding offers many opportunities for embellishment. The cords will be wrapped with colored thread and each section wrapped in colored paper. Cover attachment is easy--the cords are sandwiched between two boards. The boards are covered with bookcloth and/or paper.
